Killarney Athletic 5 Camp 0
The A team beat a well organised Camp team in ideal conditions Saturday morning in Ferndale. Although the scoreline suggests a handy win, it certainly wasn`t as Camp always battled throughout the game even having a chance in the dying moments. Michael Potts got things underway midway through the first half with a 40 yard free kick into the top corner certainly being a contender of goal of the season. Sean O’Sullivan got a second with a volley coming from good play by Mark Fitzgerald and Blake Bolster down the right hand flank to cross for Sean to slot home to ensure a 2 – 0 lead at half time. Michael Potts got his second, assisted by Jason Coffey for the 4th before being subbed for Kennedy Cup purposes. Lorcan McMonagle got the 5th late in the second half. This was the best performance by the team in the 3 years I have been involved with them and we need 2 better performances in the 2 final games to ensure the league title with games away to Fenit and home to Park. Well done lads on a great team performance.
Under 14B 2 Park 3
Conor Quirke and Reece Hegarty with the goals.
