Killarney Athletic produced their display of the season in this encounter away to Listowel Celtic. Orla O’Mahony opened the scoring after 10 minutes with a low strike to the corner of the net. Linda Bruggner added a second following an incisive through ball from Elaina Galvin. Linda got her second & Killarney Athletic’s third just before halftime with a well executed penalty after she had been fouled in the penalty box. Athletic playing against a strong wind opened well in the second half & were rewarded with a fourth as Aoife Kelliher beat the defence to skillfully slide the ball beyond the advancing keeper. An assured defensive display set the groundwork for an outstanding team performance with a deserved 4 nil victory
