Killarney Athletic 3 Park 3
A cracking game was played out in Woodlawn this morning with the final result in the balance up to the last kick of the game. Athletic took the lead in the 1st minute through Shane Lynch. We dominated possession for the entire half but couldn’t make it count on the score sheet, against the run of play the Park equalised when yet another set piece this season undone the blues!! The Park came more into the match after halftime and got 2 quick goals but the Athletic lads didn’t give in and battled back with 2 late goals from Shane Doolan and Chris O’Meara, we could have nicked the win when in the last minute Chris almost scored only denied by the post. Credit to both teams for an exciting game, best for the Blues were Martin Crowley, Shane Doolan and David Sheerin.

Killarney Athletic 2 Park 2
A great squad turn out on a fine wintry afternoon in Woodlawn ensured Athletic’s best turn out in recent months and with a capacity crowd at training, this can only mean good things. Athletic should have scored from the first attack but the bounce of the ball meant Patryk Barthy couldn’t finish to the net. On the next attack, a great kick out by Felim was fumbled and Dion Marcos reacted quickest to find the net. Athletic were well on top for the first 25 minutes but park got back into the game and sloppy midfield play by Athletic left Park through on goals to level the scores at half time. Into the second half, Park attacked and only for Felim Jacob in goals, could have been game over for Athletic. Eventually Park scored in the 80th minute and with Athletic changing to 3-4-3 formation, a well taken corner by Jack O’Connor was met by the head of Adam Dennehy to fire to the back of the net in the 86th minute. One final chance fell to Blake Bolster but when he passed the last defender through on goal, he was tripped up but unfortunately the referee waved away the protests to blow the final whistle. Best for Athletic Felim Jacob, Adam Dennehy, David Rea and Brendan.city crowd at training, this can only mean good things. Under 15
Killarney Celtic 5 Killarney Athletic 4
The under 15’s travelled to Celtic for their first game since exiting the national cup last 32 and only their second game in over 10 weeks and it showed as many players were rusty and short of game time. Athletic easily had the majority of possession and shots but Celtic were clinical in front of goals scoring 5 from 6 shots. Athletic will rue missed chances, many of them easy. Goal scorers for Athletic were Ruari O’Keeffe, David O’Mahony with a 30 yard free kick, Liam Curran and Mark Fennell. David, Liam, Fionnbharr and Jason best for Athletic.
Under 13
Our under 13’s continued their winning streak with a comprehensive win over town rivals Killarney Celtic C. The boys were dominant in all sectors and had some very well worked goals. Scorers on the day were Damien Switzer 2, Rossa Bellew 2, Owen Benson, Dara Tangney with his first goal for the club, Emmet Finnan and Robert O’Shea scored a hat-trick, his first for the club. Overall a solid performance and well done to all. Man of the Match Robert O’Shea.
