Killarney Athletic 4 Camp1
Great win for our senior team in Tralee on Sunday against Camp. From the very first minute our attitude was right and we went about with great spirit what was a must win game. We went 1 nil up when centre back Brian O’Reilly let fly with a great left footed effort from outside the box. After this Camp levelled to make it 1 all. However Athletic were then on top for the rest of the game. David Gleeson made it 2-1 with a great header after a fine cross from Jason Grady. We went 3-1 up before the break when youth player Danny Healy a threat all day latched on to a loose ball and gave us a 2 goal lead at half time. The second half was a tough affair with our guys dominating possession and working hard for each other. The game was sealed when full back Caimen Mangan scored a wonder goal running the length of the pitch past several opposition players and calmly slotted past the onrushing keeper for as good a goal you will see all year. This was a fantastic team effort from all players and showed what Athletic are all about with good football and huge heart. We have our final league game away to Asdee tonight at 7.30pm and a win will ensure staying up. One more huge effort needed to produce the great escape. Well done to everyone involved and best of luck tonight.

Help Needed for 7 A Side
We are looking for volunteers to help out with the 7 A side tournament for the month of July. Could you spare an hour and help with the gate, the pitches, the shop or the fixtures? Let us know on facebook, twitter, via the website (www.killarneyathletic.com) or text or phone Toirdealbhach (087) 6447603. One day a week would be a great boost to help raise funds for the club’s ongoing expenses. Don’t forget, it’s your club and your club needs you
