Killarney Athletic 1 Mastergeeha 1
With key players missing through injury and four players of the team already after playing a game in the morning today’s game was always going to be a test of fitness rather then ability. In saying that this was a game we dominated from start to finish. Athletic poured on the pressure from the start and created good chances but to no avail. In the 18th minute against the run of play Mastergeeha scored with a low shot to our keeper's left side. This would turn out to be one of only two attacks Mastergeeha had in the entire game. Athletic stuck to the game plan and it paid dividends when in the 30th minute Danny Healy passed to Ronan Buckley to scramble the ball into the Mastergeeha net for his third goal in three games. Team's went in 1-1 at the break. The second half was the same as the first with Athletic dominating possession with slick fast passing. Chance after chance was created but we were found wanting in front of goal. This could have easily been a whitewash only for poor finishing. The game ended 1-1 but this was a great performance and effort from our lads today. Best for Athletic were Cillian O'Regan (Man of the Match), Aydan Mulvaney and Ronan Buckley.

Killarney Athletic 4 Killarney Celtic 1
Athletic made the short journey to Celtic Park on Thursday night to take on their Celtic counterparts under lights. It was all Athletic attacking but Celtic took the lead against the run of play. As the half wore on, Athletic had numerous chances but couldn’t capitalise, that is until Lee O’Donoghue came up for a corner. A great cross and an unmarked Lee nodded to the net from 6 yards out. Athletic should have had a penalty but the referee gave an indirect free kick from 7 yards instead. Just before half time, the lights were accidently turned off and Seamus O’Mahony blew for half time. Ger and Noel’s half time talk worked wonders as Athletic got into 2nd gear in the second half scored 3 further goals to ensure victory. Their dominance was further helped towards the end of the game with a straight red for the Celtic centre back for a poor mistimed challenge. Athletic now travel to play Park this Saturday hoping to keep up their 100% record in the league. Well done boys

Killarney Athletic 6 Camp 1
The A team travelled to IT Tralee’s wonderful All weather facilities to take on Camp today. Athletic started well and went 2 up with great strikes from Darren Mulcahy and Lorcan Macmonagle before Camp scored on the counter to bring the game back to a minimum. Although Lorcan was suffering with sickness. He was on fire scoring 5 Wonderful goals. The best being from 40 yards into the top corner (beating a 22 yard freekick into top corner). At the other end Nelu made outstanding saves to ensure only 1 goal conceded. Great all round performance by the team.

Killarney Athletic 0 Listowel Celtic 4
Although 0-0 at half time, Celtic scored 4 goals in the second half to ensure the win. A good team performance by an ever improving Athletic side
Under 13 League
Killarney Athletic 3 Killarney Celtic 0
Athletic took all three points in this local derby with goals from Finbarr Hickey, Jack Sweeney and Jason Coffey. Athletic made hard work of winning this game as they had all the play but were unable to break down a stubborn Celtic rear-guard. All the goals came in the last quarter and it should never have been the case as Athletic were guilty of poor finishing. Athletic can take some positives from this game however, for example, a clean sheet without their first choice goalkeeper.

Killarney Athletic 0 Kingdom Boys 4
Missing a few players but still a very poor performance by our boys considering improvements of last 2 games. Could easily have got something out of game if up for it. Seamus Gallagher did very well in goal as late replacement with Ian Prendergast battling hard all through.
Under 12 Girls
Killarney Athletic 5 Kingdom Girls 3
A good away win for the girls in Tralee. Well done to management and players. It was a very exciting match.
Congratulations: Well done to Dr Crokes on winning the Munster football senior club championship and the O’Donoghue Cup Final last Sunday.
Condolences: Sincere Sympathy to Brian O’Reilly and the O’Reilly family on their recent sad loss of Frank O’Reilly
