Results:
Seniors
Another great result for our A panel on Sunday beating Kenmare 4-2. Goals from Denis Galvin, Tim O’Sullivan, Ed Sullivan and Dave Gleeson. Moves us to top of Premier table.
Youths
Killarney Athletic 5 Castleisland 1
A game where Athletic kept the ball on the ground proved too good for the opposition with fine displays from Cillian O’Regan and the rest of the defence. Goals from Chris O’Meara, Danny Healy, Ole Kroenig, Darren Horgan and Mason Ferris with Man of the Match going to David Sheerin.Chris O'Meara has 9 goals in 5 matches with the youths so far this season. He is top scorer in the youths league now.
Under 15
Killarney Athletic 1 Kilmallock 2
Our under 15 team bowed out of the national cup against a very able Kilmallock side at Woodlawn on Saturday. We fell behind 1-0 after 15 minutes due to a couple of mistakes and Kilmallock’s tendency to break fast. After this we settled down and took control of the game but could not put the ball into the oppositions net even though we had a couple of 1 on 1 with their keeper, however we were pressing all the time for the equaliser. Our misfortune followed from the start of the second half when
after 5 minutes we put the ball in the net but it went through a hole in the net and the referee didn’t give it even though all present there saw the goal scored. We still took the game to them and with 3 minutes to go we got the goal we needed and deserved and were looking at extra time but again a fast break and a couple of mistakes they got a goal in injury time. From the tip off we pushed forward and were nearly rewarded only for a top class save from their keeper to push the ball out for a corner. After the corner the referee blew full time. We never got going on the day and a lot of basic mistakes and bad touch cost this game but the most positive part was the players gave it their all on the day and we salute them for that. It's now back to domestic action and with a big effort from all we will challenge for honours before the year is up. A BIG thank you to our helpers mostly the mammies who helped serve food
after the game to all involved.

Killarney Athletic 1 Granagh United 4
This is a game Athletic should have won. It started brightly with Liam Curran scoring in the 4th minute to give Athletic the lead. With numerous chances wasted, Granagh got a goal against the run of play to let the score 1 all at half time on a pitch that can be described as a farmers field. With Athletic "playing up the hill" in the second half, Granagh took momentum and scored a second after poor defending by Athletic. With time running out, Athletic went with 3 at the back in search of an equaliser but despite plenty of chances, Granagh kept them at bay, while in the dying moments Granagh got 2more to kill off the game to advance to play Ballyhar in the next round. This is certainly a game lost on Athletics part who are privileged to be playing on fantastic pitches in the Kerry league. Best for Athletic were Michael Potts and Adam Dennehy. A big thank you to Terry Potts for helping out and Granagh for looking after us.
Under 12
Killarney Athletic 1 Listowel Celtic 2
Athletic were very unlucky to lose 2-1 at home to Listowel in a case where better team were definately hard done on chances created. Liam Kelliher scored for us and a super team effort with all battling very hard notably Adam O’Connell, Seamus Gallagher & Calum Neher.

Results:
Seniors
Our seniors suffered their 1st defeat of the season going down 3-1 to Tralee Dynamos on Sunday in Tralee. Timmy Sullivan scored for the 3rd game in a row.
Under 17 League
Killarney Athletic 4 Killorglin 4
Same old mistakes on corners and free kicks saw us go 1-4 down by halftime with giving away free headers in the box. A harsh talk at the break focused the minds and a different attitude got us back into the game with goals from Chris O’Meara, Danny Healy, Ronan Buckley and Ole Kreibig. We could have scored a further 4 or 5 in the second half such was the amount of attacks we had but after coming from behind we were happy to come home with a share of the points. Man of the Match to Ayden Mulvanney
