This game was played as a double header league and quarter final of the shield, so it was winner take all. It was also Athletics last league game of the season, and Fenit would clinch the league with a win. Athletic went a goal down after five minutes but didn’t let that bother them and they proceeded to take the game to the would be champions. Athletic attacked at every opportunity while defending well at the same time, and this paid off when Daniel Fleming finished off a five man move with a low drive to the Fenit net. Fenit took the lead again against the run of play but Athletic still didn’t give up as they threw everything at Fenit including the kitchen sink and definitely deserved a draw. A big thanks to all the players we used during the season for their dedication and commitment and also to all the parents for all their help .
